President and Sister Van Cott attended the Redlands temple this morning with 4 missionaries who will be leaving the mission in April. It was an early temple trip because the temple will be closed the following two weeks. It is a highlight of a missionaries experience to attend the temple with President and Sister Van Cott as they prepare to return home.

BYE, BYE, CARS!
Take 11 things off of Elder Miller's to do list. That is what happened this week when the last of 11 cars were sold and transported. There was a total of 86 cars in the mission. 11 of the cars have been sold and the mission received 5 new cars. Keeping up with the cars is a big job for Elder Miller and he is doing a great job!

MARCH MISSION LEADERSHIP COUNCIL
Mission leaders from the Redlands Mission met today for Mission Leadership Council. Gathered were Elders and Sisters from all areas of the mission to hear council and instruction from President and Sister Van Cott and to prepare themselves to continue to "hasten the work".
Scriptures, Preach My Gospel, journals, planners, notebooks, backpacks and bags filled the room as the missionaries left them idle while they ate lunch.
With transfers also being this week, the mail was held for the past week and distributed to the zone leaders as they left the meeting today. All mail and packages were sent out with the zone leaders to be delivered to the elders and sisters in the mission.

DEPARTING DEVOTIONAL (Sunday, March 2, 2014)
Sunday's Departing Devotional filled the chapel, and members came to honor and say good-bye to the missionaries who had served so faithfully in their wards. The Elders and Sisters who were leaving the California Redlands Mission each had the opportunity to share their thoughts on how they had felt the Savior had been aware of them as they served. A beautiful piano duet was shared by Kristin and Hannah Richie. President and Sister Van Cott expressed their love for the missionaries as they prepared to return home. After the meeting in the chapel, there were lots of hugs and handshakes and tears as we said goodbye to missionaries who touched each of our lives. Refreshments were provided for all by the senior missionaries serving in the mission.
